Mama’s on the Hill is located on The Hill in St. Louis and is home to where Toasted Ravioli was created.
Mama Campisi’s, a.k.a. Mama’s on the Hill. Still, formerly Oldani’s is located on The Hill, known as the Italian neighborhood in St. Louis, where you will find the best Italian cuisines in the city. Known by many people across the country as the hill is home to some famous people and destinations.
Mama’s on the Hill has been credited as the location where Toasted Ravioli was created when it operated as Oldani’s. There has been a debate for years about if it happened at this location or another location. Still, because Wikipedia credits the creation to Mama’s on the Hill, one has to go with that as the conclusion.
The restaurant operated as Mama Campisi’s from 1982 to 2005 when it closed. Lance and Andrea Ervin reopened the establishment in 2006. They popularized the restaurant after being featured on one episode of Restaurant Impossible and one episode of the Travel Channel’s Man v. Food in December 2017. There are many famous restaurants in the city, but this establishment ranks at the top with its online customer reviews and TV appearances.
