Sasi Thai Market Hosts Street Food Event this Weekend – March 9th & 10th.

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO (StLouisRestaurantReview)—This weekend, Sasi Thai Market is hosting its Thai Street Food Event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, as reported by STL.News.

The foods that will be served at this Thai Street Food Event:

• Coconut Dumpling (Khanom Tom)
• Sour Soup with Mixed Vegetables
• Tapioca Ball with Pork Filling
• Steamed Rice Dumpling
• Coconut Cake
• Thai Curry with Bamboo and Chicken

Thai chefs from across the region prepare their food, deliver it to the event, and offer it for sale.  This is Thai food you will not find at Thai restaurants in the United States.

Most of the chefs who prepare the food are from Thailand and offer unique family recipes.

However, the event’s main sponsors are Sasi Thai Market and Thai Kitchen.  Both are owned by Sasimonthon Ongartsutthikul, a Thai migrant who moved here in 1995.  She started Thai Kitchen in 1999 and has grown to five restaurants across the region, including:

1. Florissant, MO (now owned by her brother but operates as Thai Kitchen)
2. Maryland Heights, MO (Opening March 2024 as Thai Mama, but same great menu and service)
