Laclede’s Landing is the oldest community in St Louis dating back to 1780
Laclede’s Landing is known for it’s old buildings, restaurants, bars and nightclubs. However, the historical side of Landclede’s Landing is that it is the original settlement of St Louis discovered by French Explorer, Pierre Laclede, whose landing on the riverside commemorates his name.
While it is a fun place to visit the history is remarkable dating back to 1780. It still has many cobblestone streets, original building, many dating back to it’s beginning and modernized with great entertainment and dining.
Laclede’s Landing is full of atmosphere, fun and entertainment. With the arrival of the casino’s it has lost some of it’s luster, but it is still a great place and offers a great time for everybody.
