CHESTERFIELD, MO (StLouisRestaurantReview) We are excited to announce that Dumplings & Tea opened Wednesday, January 18, 2023, specializing in, you guessed it, dumplings and tea.
However, don’t let the name fool you, as they have a comprehensive menu that should have something for just about anyone.
Their menu includes:
- D&T Bites
- Bao Zi
- Ramen
- Udon
- Dumplings
- Dumpling Desserts
- Build-a-Poke Bowl
- Signature Poke Bowls
- Signature Milk Tea – Dairy and Non-Dairy
- Smoothies
- Iced Tea or Hot Tea
- Fruit Tea
Three partners joined forces to ensure sufficient staff to maintain the expected high volume considering the challenging hiring environment.
The partners are:
- Zixuan Hu – two master’s degrees in business from the University of Missouri
- Weignon Jiang – GM – sixteen years of restaurant experience
- Yalai Zhang – less restaurant experience, but an expert at making dumplings
Their objective is to produce high-quality, handmade dumplings, a large variety of tea, as well as other Asian cuisines in an employee-friendly environment that focuses on customer satisfaction.
The atmosphere is casual, clean, and comfortable. Thus far, their online customer reviews are 5 Stars on Google.
Zixuan Hu, a partner, has two master’s degrees in business, so there has been a significant amount of planning put into this concept. So, naturally, planning always pays off.
The most impressive factor that we heard is that most of the items are handmade, not bought and recooked. Seven appetizers but all of the dumplings are handmade, ensuring high quality that will undoubtedly satisfy the customers.
We want to welcome a new restaurant venture and will do everything in our power to help ensure its success. Currently, the restaurant industry is facing some challenging times, but these young entrepreneurs appear to have factored that into their business model.
This is an introduction, but we will be monitoring the progress and publishing a review in the near future. Stay tuned!
