OLIVETTE, MO (StLouisRestaurantReview) I visited Great Heart Brewing Company today, June 1, 2025. They opened on February 14, 2025. I usually wait before I see new restaurants to ensure they work out the kinks. The facility is beautiful, and the food was above average. While it is new, they continue working to keep it clean and looking its best.
The building and the restaurant/brewery are new. The atmosphere is great, and the food is good or above average. It is a European-style/themed restaurant with a bierhall, which is excellent.
Great Heart Brewing Company has a Google Rating of 4.7 stars and over 100 online customer ratings and reviews. We have not checked out the other online reviews because this is not a review, but an article announcing that they are open.
When you arrive at Great Heart Brewing Company and are seated, they bring you a menu and water, but then explain that you have to go to one window to order food and then to the bar to order drinks. After ordering food, they give you a number to set on your table and bring the food to you when it is ready.
I understand better than most how restaurants are struggling with staff shortages. However, the facility is not that big, and it appeared to me to have plenty of staff. Maybe I am a little old school, but a restaurant with above-average prices had better have award-winning service and the best food. Additionally, they don’t display their phone number anywhere, which is a bad idea in my opinion.
Significant money has been invested in this venture. However, we have concerns regarding the operations. Our waiter told us how to order, and I commented that it was odd. He responded that they had issues to resolve.
Hopefully, whatever the issues are, we hope they get them worked out because it has great potential. Once those issues are resolved, we will happily provide an updated article and maybe give them a listing in our St. Louis Restaurant Directory.
