Re-Voaked Sandwiches Has Permanently Closed

Re-Voaked Sandwiches Has Permanently Closed

Posted on November 3, 2021 By Martin Smith

ST LOUIS, MO (StLouisRestaurantReview) Re-Voaked Sandwichs is located in the Central West End neighborhood.  Opening months before the lockdown created a challenge, and they survived.  However, now the supply chain problems have made it impossible to survive.

Small restaurants are dropping as staff shortages and supply chain issues create overwhelming challenges that small businesses can’t overcome.  Unfortunately, this situation will get worse before it gets better.

The chain of events has created factors that have not been anticipated to plan for the political leaders.  They are too busy being political and not paying attention to the economy.

Our best recommendations for small locally-owned restaurants are:

  • Know your numbers.  If you don’t have real-time accounting, get it.  It is more important than ever to know your operating costs to price your food with inflation kicking in properly.
  • Leverage technology for ordering and marketing.  Online ordering and delivery are more important than ever before.  In addition, technology can help decrease the need for a large staff, which is another major problem for restaurant owners.  Unfortunately, staffing shortages will continue for some time.

In summary, maximize your income with proper pricing, leverage technology to reduce the need for staff, and control your overhead.
