ST CHARLES, MO (StLouisRestaurantReview) Met briefly with one of the two owners of Frontier Perk Cafe yesterday afternoon on the historic Main Street in St. Charles, Missouri.

It is an impressive cafe with a comfortable atmosphere.  The owners are Ashley and John.

Their website says,” Join us for a great cup of coffee & pastry or a delicious meal.  You can find us nestled in the heart of historic Main Street Saint Charles, where you’ll find lots of great boutiques & quaint little shops.

“Our coffee is shade-grown under trees in the mountains of Las Segovias, Nicaragua.  A region that is known for producing a well-balanced coffee berry.  Hand-picked and sun-dried by the Prodecoop group of small family farmers.  We roast our coffee in small batches right here in St. Louis at First Crack Wholesaler ensuring a consistent and fresh cup every time.”

They offer breakfast and lunch accompanied by premium coffee and other beverages.

We have reviewed this restaurant because we were overly impressed with the atmosphere and the dedication illustrated by the owners.  They had opened just before the pandemic.  Struggling to survive and battle the confusion of the lockdown rules, slow sales, and overall and overwhelming confusion for restaurant owners illustrates their dedication to this establishment.

After a little research, their online reviews added to our positive perspective.   The customer reviews speak for themselves.  Great establishments don’t need to promote themselves as much as others.  Their service, food, and atmosphere create great customer reviews.  Some restaurant establishments don’t get it, but this place apparently understands.  We did not order anything from their menu because they were already closed.  However, the atmosphere and the overall approach ensure we will return expecting to feel the same as their customers that have taken the time to post such great reviews.
