FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, MO (StLouisRestaurantReview) Tasty Bowl – This restaurant concept is the most technologically advanced, utilizing robotic technology to reduce staff and enhance the quality of stir-fry items. We announced their opening on April 20, 2025, and it has been one of our most popular articles since its publication. We are as excited as the owner is for them to open this location.
It is an upscale Asian restaurant offering a large Selection of Sushi, stir-fry, and ramen dishes. Additionally, they offer a sake bar and robotic barrels that perfectly cook the stir-fry.
How does it work?
You go through a line and create your bowl of high-quality vegetables and proteins, placing them in your bowl. You take the bowl to the server, and they ring you on the POS. They will ask you about the flavor and spice level, and enter this information into the POS. Then, they toss your bowl into a barrel, add the sauces, spices, and oils, and begin to spin the food, cooking it to perfection. When it is done, an arm will pick up a bowl and turn it towards the barrel, and the barrel will automatically dump the perfectly prepared meal into the bowl. It will be delivered to you at your table. It takes only an estimated 90 seconds to cook the meal, utilizing a technological process.
Not only will this concept fascinate customers, but it will also help reduce staff while increasing productivity, which is a significant challenge for restaurants in this new social environment.
Additionally, they have employed robotic table servers to deliver food to the tables, which children love to watch in amazement. However, these servers serve a great service to the restaurant while entertaining the crowd.
The owner is a husband-and-wife team, Sean and Ling, with other restaurants across the Midwest. However, this is their first location with this concept, and they are open to reconfiguring other places if it proves successful.
The location is perfect. It sits on Lincoln Highway, on the south side of the mall in the parking lot. It is easily accessible to many communities, allowing them to visit and enjoy.
Our content will change substantially as the community and its engagement become better understood and illustrated through ratings and reviews. This facility is one of our favorite restaurants in the St. Louis region for multiple reasons. They are using technology to benefit both the customer and the restaurant. The owners genuinely care about their quality and public perception, but most importantly, the family’s dedication to serving their community properly.
