Wok-O Taco Closes its Ghost Kitchen Location on Hampton Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri.
ST. LOUIS, MO (StLouisRestaurantReview) Wok-O Taco is a food truck that opened a kitchen inside the ghost kitchen known as The Hill Food Co. but closed it shortly after opening for unknown reasons.
However, according to an STLMag.com article by George Mahe, the Wok-O Taco has opened another location at 3960 Chouteau, inside The Improv Shop.
Many ghost kitchen concepts around the country experience high turnover rates, as many of the restaurant tenants are unfunded startup restaurants that lack existing customers.
Most ghost kitchens do not provide a routine marketing program to generate restaurant sales; they leave that up to the tenant. They offer a website, a Google My Business listing, and some social media coverage, but the restaurants must do their marketing to ensure success.
